Kevin Fisher is the Secondary Science Coordinator for Lewisville ISD. This involves working with grades 6 - 12 providing resources, facilitating curriculum writing, delivering staff development, conducting PLC's, and the notorious other duties as assigned. Kevin is a past president of the Science Teachers Association of Texas (STAT) and now serving as president-elect of TSELA. Kevin Fisher has been involved in science education for the past 32 years, working as a high school science teacher, science specialist at Education Service Center Region XI,and now at the district level in Lewisville ISD. Kevin was a member of the team that wrote the original Biology TEKS and was a team member of the group who revised the Biology TEKS. Being politically active with the State Board of Education to improve science education has been a recent priority. His goals for TSELA include continuing to be the premier organization for disseminating cutting edge information, resources, and networking the membership, and increasing TSELA role in being a major force in education politics.
