Summer Leadership Institute
June 26-30, 2011at East Tennessee University

The National Science Education Association (NSELA) presents the 2011 Summer Leadership Institute to be held in Johnson City, Tennessee at the state-of-the-arts Millennium Center. The following team of highly qualified presenters will facilitate institute experiences. In addition you will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues from across the nation in both formal and informal settings.

New Science Teacher Academy

NSTA is offering second and third year, middle and high school science teachers the opportunity to participate in the New Science Teachers Academy, a one year professional development and mentoring program. Emphazing quality science teaching, enhanced teacher confidence, classroom excellence, and solid content knowledge, participant’s (Academy Fellows) enjoy top notch, face to face and online support and access to comprehensive educational resources. Each fellow will receive one year paid NSTA membership, trip to the 2012 National Conference, and so much more. All applications must be received by June 13, 2011
