NSELA members include department heads, supervisors, coordinators, consultants, science specialists, administrators, teacher advocates, head teachers, university and college science educators, and others concerned with leadership in science curricula, science education reform, and science education in general. The John Glenn Center for Science Education The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) have awarded the Texas Science Education Leadership Association with with a certificate (pdf) recognizing their leadership gift in support of the John Glenn Center of Science Education Science Education Campaign. Summer Leadership Institute The National Science Education Leadership Association (NSELA) and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) held a Summer Leadership Institute from June 24–28, 2012 in Austin, Texas. This immersive experience brought together scores of individual science educators, teams (leaders and teachers), and administrators to explore the K–12 Framework and draft Next Generation Science Standards, determine key features of each, noting comparisons, contrasts and shifts in focus.
