Note about Membership Dues TSELA meetings are for dues paying members only. If your annual membership dues are due, the $20 annual membership fee can be paid in advance to the TSELA Treasurer, Susana Ramirez, by mail at PO Box 1, Donna, Texas, 78537 Or, through CAST registration, or at the Fall TSELA meeting. Annual membership dues are separate from the meeting fee. To find out if your membership fees are due, email membership@tselaonline.org. Membership dues should be paid by check. No purchase orders accepted. Part of the expense of the fall TSELA Meeting is underwritten by generous sponsors and TSELA. Dr. Tom Hsu is nationally known as an innovator in technology for learning including science equipment, curriculum and teacher professional development. A strong advocate of hands-on learning, Tom is known for the elegant teaching equipment he created with CPO and for the successful introduction of system approach to learning that coordinates textbooks, teaching apparatus, hands-on investigations, and teacher training. For the past decade, Tom and a small team at Ergopedia have been exploring the next generation of e-curriculum, using powerful interactive media, animation, video, and simulation to teach physics and math on tablets, computers, even smart phones. Tom is the author or co-author of seven published middle and high school science programs in physics, chemistry and physical science, including "Essential Physics" a new electronic STEM physics program, "A Natural Approach to Chemistry" published by Lab-Aids, and "Integrated Physics and Chemistry" a widely-used program for IPC in Texas. He is president of Ergopedia, Inc a company he co-founded with Dr. Manos Chaniotakis of MIT. Tom has personal teaching experience from elementary grades through graduate school and holds a Ph.D. in applied plasma physics from MIT where he was nominated for the Goodwin medal for excellence in teaching.
