Outstanding Science Education Leadership Award

The Outstanding Science Leader will be recognized in the following manner:

  • Acknowledged and introduced at the winter TSELA meeting.
  • Presented with a plaque, a check for $500, and a Delta Education "gift".
  • One year membership to NSELA.
  • An article detailing the awardee’s contributions in the STATellite newsletter.
  • Application will be submitted to NSELA in December for their "Outstanding Leadership in Science Education Award" to be awarded at the next NSTA Convention.

Deadline: September 30 each year

Applications will not be accepted after September 30

Eligibility

Any member is invited to nominate a worthy colleague. Both nominator and nominee must be TSELA Members in good standing. Current TSELA officers are not eligible for the award

There are three parts to the nomication process: the nomination form (PDF), a resume or curriculum vitae and a description of supervisory or science leadership capacity of nominee..

Download the nomination form online (PDF) and submit it along with a resume or vita and 500 word description. The Outstanding Science Education Leadership Award application should be compiled by the nominator and sent to:

TSELA President Elect at <:president-elect@tselaonline.org>

Note that Partial applications will not be considered for the award.
